Letter to UAE ministry of foreign affairs
on your official website: www.mofa.gov.ae there is a section by the name "OCCUPIED UAE ISLANDS"!
I read it and I just want to mention some points about it.definitely it will be of your best interest to know it.
you are using the term "Arabian Gulf"! on the map,as an expert on this topic,I have to remind that according to 99% of historical maps and documents since 2600 years ago the name of the waterway between Iran and the Arabian peninsula is "Persian Gulf".you can see some of these maps and documents on our online Museum and website: www.persiangulfstudies.com/museum due to this strong documentation ,the highest legal source of the world, the United Nations Organization many times emphasizes on the Standard name of the "Persian Gulf" for this waterway.one of these letters are enclosed to this email.you are speaking about "International Law",but the question is how can we expect you to respect the LAW when you dont respect the geography, history and the united nations organization.
avoid of using the word "OCCUPIED" about the islands because it will not help you.you have mentioned that "qawasims claim was based on ancient and perviously recognized rights"!!do you believe on this rights? so why you are abusing the name of the Persian Gulf?according to International law the two Tunb islands are above the midline in the Persian Gulf, this means that they are completely in Iranian side and they are Iranian islands.in 1903 UK took the three islands of Tunbs and Abumusa from Iran and after 68 years in 1971 returned to Iran.why returned?because they where Iranian islands.look at the map of UKs war office 1886 enclosed, shows that islands naturally belongs to Iran.we have thousands of maps and documents concerning the Persian Gulfs name and the islands.be rational and a persian proverb says:"DONT PLAY WITH LIONS TAIL".
Kind Regards
